Glasgow's first ice cream and churro bar has opened its doors in the West End.

Loop & Scoop has opened on Great Western Road, adding to the incredible foodie line-up offered in the city.

A range of churros made on site and 12 handmade ice cream flavours will be available from the new bar.

Glasgow Times:

The ice cream and churro bar, which has created over 30 new jobs, has been masterminded by Glasgow entrepreneur Calvin Kayes, who has a proven track record in outside catering having worked in his family business for over 16 years.

This is Calvin’s first solo venture and the first time the churro and ice cream concept has been brought to the UK.

The unique menu includes a range of handmade ice cream, using Calvin’s wife Serena’s family recipe and churros produced on site using the highest quality ingredients.

Glasgow Times:

Calvin said “A love of ice cream, great coffee and the desire to create something a little different for Glasgow inspired me to develop the concept of Loop & Scoop.  I have overseen every single detail of the brand, menu and look and feel of the venue and I’m extremely proud to open our doors.”

“Glasgow has one of the most exciting and vibrant foodie scenes in the UK and we are confident Glaswegians young and old, will enjoy our hand crafted churros, luxury ice cream combinations and breakfast and lunch menus.

“We want to become an integral part of the local community, a place to meet, relax and enjoy time with friends and family.  We are open seven days a week, have 80 covers with seating inside and outdoors and a dedicated events space perfect for birthday parties, launch events and family get togethers.”

Loop and Scoop is situated at 665 Great Western Road.
