A MAN is due in court today after an alleged fight at a restaurant in Newton Mearns.
Cops rushed to the scene at the Indian Platform on Ayr Road at around 10.35pm on Saturday after receiving a report of a fight.
They confirmed that they arrested a 49-year-old man who has been detained in police custody.
The man was arrested in connection with alleged sexual assault of two 17-year-old teenage girls.
He was also arrested in connection with the alleged assault of a 17-year-old boy.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "It was around 10.35pm on Saturday, October 7, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a restaurant in Ayr Road, Newton Mearns.
"Following enquiries, a 49-year-old man was arrested and detained in police custody in connection with two alleged sexual assaults on 17-year-old females and alleged assault on a 17-year-old male."
