AN ARMED robber escaped with cash from a bookies after threatening a member of staff.
Police said the man went into Ladbrookes in High Street, Maybole, Ayrshire on Sunday at around 5.30pm.
He drove off in a light coloured saloon car, heading towards John Knox Street.
A force spokesman said: "From enquiries so far, we have established that when the suspect drove off along High Street at speed, he appeared to almost collide with a black Audi A3 Estate, causing the driver to swerve."
The suspect is described as being in his early 40s, with stubble and was wearing a dark jacket with the hood up and light coloured trousers.
