A BULLY who slapped a 12-year-old boy in the face has been spared jail.
Hassan Bashir, 28, hit the child on the head at a house on Paisley Road West.
He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week having pleaded guilty to assaulting the child, who was less than half his age, on March 4 this year.
Sheriff Bonnar heard how Bashir had left the both redness to his jaw following the attack, however his lawyer said the injuries were "superficial".
The solicitor told the court: "It is a regrettable incident."
Reports on Bashir, of Paisley Road West, were described as "glowing" and "very positive" and he was said to have been of "good behaviour" since his last court date.
The sheriff ordered him to do 40 hours of unpaid work in three months.
