MARTI Pellow has said he will announce more dates to his UK tour after Scottish fans were left furious.

The Clydebank singer, who shot to fame with Wet Wet Wet, unveiled the dates for The Private Collection tour next year and there was none in Scotland.

The Wishing I Was Lucky star will travel to locations including Liverpool and Manchester next May and June.

The closest date for Scottish fans is when he plays The Sage in Gateshead on June 2.

Pellow, however, then announced he would release more dates elsewhere in the UK including Scotland after fans expressed their disappointment on the social media website Twitter.

Anne Cook said: "What about Scotland Marti? No Glasgow dates?"

Gillian Steele added: "UK tour - looks more like England tour. What happened to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? Not good."

Earlier this year, Pellow also announced he was leaving Wet Wet Wet in July.

The singer called it quits with Wet Wet Wet after 30 years of hits and sell-out concerts. The band's Edinburgh Castle show in the summer was their last Scottish date together.

Pellow, 52, said he left the band to concentrate on his solo career.

Wet Wet Wet previously split up in 1999 and later reformed in 2004.

Pellow grew up in Clydebank before he quit Scotland 20 years ago for a new life in Windsor.
