A MAJOR search is underway to find two missing schoolboys who are actively avoiding the police.
Kyle Moffat, from Mathieson Terrace, and Hayden Fisher from Jane Place, Gorbals, who are friends and believed to in each other’s company were last seen around 2pm in Asda Toryglen today.
Kyle is described as white, 4 ft in height, of slim build and has brown eyes and hair. When last seen he was wearing a black jacket, red trousers and red trainers. He requires to take medication which he does not have with him. He has no money with him and does not have a mobile phone
Hayden is describe as white, 5 ft in height, of slim build and has dark hair shaved at the sides. He was wearing a black and grey jacket, dark blue Lacoste jogging bottoms and black trainers.
Police have not released an image of the boys yet.
Inspector Iain Greene, Cathcart Police Station, said: "Kyle and Hayden’s parents reported them both missing around 10.50pm and 11.45pm respectively when they didn’t come home last night.
“Both sets of parents had been out looking for the children but when they couldn’t find them or get in touch with them via friends etc, they called the police.
“The boys were seen locally in Asda in Toryglen about an hour ago. We also know that they are actively avoiding police and contact from their families, however, whilst this may be the case, they are just 12-years-old and we need to make sure they are safe and well and get them back to their families who are of course very upset and concerned about them being away.”
Anyone with information about where Kyle and Hayden are can contact Cathcart Police Station via 101, quoting reference numbers 3932 and 4076 of the 12 of October 2017.
