Kind Crusts have announced that their east end store will be moving to a new location, one with a slightly ironic past residency.

The vegan favourite will be leaving the old location on Garthland Drive to set up shop round the corner on Duke street in none other than an old butcher shop.

The team posted the news on Facebook, reassuring their customers that the new location would be bigger and better.

Glasgow Times:

The post said: "Our wee Garthland Drive store is moving right round the corner on to Duke Street.

"Soon, we'll be able to offer you more internal seating, more exciting food and drink products and more open days to visit us!

"The best thing about our new store is that years ago, it was a butcher shop. We still (eerily) have the hanging pole where countless animals would have been hung. Now? The only thing hanging from our pole will be bunches of carrots. To us, this demonstrates how times have changed. This society no longer needs numerous butchers, and in their place will be vegan cafes aplenty."

The opening date of the new cafe is yet to be announced but eager vegans are convinced that the new location will encourage more people to try the vegan treats. One Facebook user Raymond Grimley commented: "Congratulations and good luck on the move, hopefully in a more high profile location your non vegan footfall through curiosity will be plentiful."
