A THUG challenged three Polish men to a fight in a racist rampage that saw him smash a car window.

The three men were standing smoking on a balcony at a property at Braid Square, near St George's Cross, when they saw Andrew McDougall on the street below.

The 21-year-old shouted up to ask if he could have £5 and when the men said no, McDougall shouted: "You Polish b******s. Get the f**k back to your own country," before challenging them to a fight.

McDougall was told to "shut up and go home" at which point he lashed out and kicked a car window, smashing the glass.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard McDougall, from Milton, had "very little recollection" of the night of February 25, 2016, as he had been drinking.

Sheriff Gerard Bonnar placed him on a Community Payback Order for 18 months and ordered him to carry out a total of 200 hours of unpaid work.
