A GLASGOW street was turned into a film set as part of a BBC Christmas show.
British acting legend Tom Courtenay was spotted filming Grandpa’s Great Escape in Govan.
Stag Street and Clydebrae Street were used as the location of the screen adaptation of one of David Walliams best selling children’s books which is due to be aired on BBC One over the Christmas period.
Courtenay plays Grandpa, a World War II flying ace, who now sadly suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
When his family can no longer look after, Grandpa is moved to an old people’s home called Twilight Towers, run by Miss Dandy.
Comedy icon Jennifer Saunders is also involved in the show.
Walliams has sold more than 12.5 million copies of his children’s books which have been translated into 46 languages.
