As Storm Ophelia dies down across Scotland certain areas were today still feeling the force of the weather system.
Flood alerts were in place until late this afternoon for west central Scotland, Ayrshire and Arran, Argyll and Bute and Dumfries and Galloway.
This afternoon the west coast of Scotland was still feeling the power of the storm as these pictures show Saltcoats took a battering from giant waves.
Meanwhile, in Glasgow the front of a block of flats was brought down in high winds.
The block in the south side, which was earmarked for partial demolition, came down at about 4am on Tuesday as the storm passed over from Ireland.
Glasgow City Council said an exclusion zone had already been put around the block due to the planned work and no-one was injured in the collapse.
The worst effects of the storm were felt in Ireland where three people died on Monday.
