A WOMAN who became verbally abusive to cops as she was worried about missing her last train home spent the night in the cells instead.

Nicole Boyd launched a torrent of appalling racist slurs at police who asked her to leave Central Station as she was drunk and not allowed to travel.

Her defence brief told Glasgow Sheriff Court she was unfamiliar with Glasgow and afraid she would miss her last train back to Falkirk.

Instead, cops lifted her and took her to Stewart Street police office where she spent the night in the cells.

Boyd, who appeared in court on her 26th birthday, was drinking a bottle of wine on the concourse when station staff refused her travel.

During a racist rant at police, who she told to "F**k you" and "f**k off", Boyd also shouted: "P**i b*****ds," "f**king P**i c**ts," "Albino b*****ds" and "F****n b*****ds".

Her lawyer said of her conduct on May 8 this year: "The words spoken she has no explanation for."

He added: "She has issues with alcohol but has taken steps to address that.

"She was in Glasgow visiting a friend and had been at a party and was unaware of the time.

"She was in a city she does not know well and was intoxicated and disoriented."

Boyd, whose parents have custory of her two children, aged six years and 18 months, was slapped with a £300 by Sheriff Gerard Bonnar who gave her 28 days to pay up.
