A THUG was hit with 90 hours of unpaid work after a street brawl in Glasgow city centre.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard Dylan Sloan was on Sauchiehall Street when he was approached by two males who pulled up in a silver Audi.

Bystanders from a pub across the road watched as a stand up fight broke out before calling cops.

The two men in the Audi made off but Sloan, from Linwood was collared by police around 11.30pm on December 2, 2016.

The 24-year-old's defence brief said: "He was in an invidious position in being, in effect, the victim of assault.

"He was approached and did not start the fight."

Sloan was given 90 hours of unpaid work to be completed in three months by Sheriff Gerard Bonnar and was admonished on a separate charge of failing to appear at court on July 25, 2017.
