A MAN is due in court today in connection with the attempted robbery of a bookies in Glasgow's West End.
Officers were called to the scene of the Paddy Power store on Great Western Road before 10.30pm last night.
They received a report that the window of the bookies, which is at Anniesland Cross, was smashed.
The force confirmed that they arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the incident and he is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At 10.25pm police were called to a report of a window being smashed at a bookmakers on Great Western Road at Anniesland Cross.
"Officers attended and a 31-year-old has been arrested with alleged assault with intent to rob."
