A MAN has been jailed for six months for taking drugs hidden in a kinder egg and a mobile phone into prison.
Sean Alexander, 33, appeared in the dock for sentencing at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to the offences.
He admitted that he did without reasonable excuse bring Buprenorphine into HMP Low Moss on August 14, last year.
He plead guilty to concealing the drugs within a kinder egg and attempting to enter back into the prison population with the drugs concealed on him.
He also plead guilty to bringing a mobile phone disguised as a toy car into the prison.
Alexander’s defence agent Mr Coyle told the court his client had a significant record.
Alexander, of Carlile Place, Shortroods, Paisley, appeared in the dock with his luggage as he was sentenced by Sheriff Lindsay Wood.
