A MAN who threatened staff at a bookmakers with a weapon during a robbery is being hunted by police.
The incident happened at the Ladbrokes in High Street, Maybole, South Ayrshire, on Sunday, October 8, and police released the first images of a suspect last night.
The thief escaped with a three-figure sum of cash and drove off towards John Knox Street.
A police spokeswoman said: "As part of an ongoing investigation into a robbery at Ladbrokes Bookmakers in High Street, Maybole, officers have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
"The man is described as white, in his early 40s, with stubble and was wearing a dark jacket with the hood up."
