Glasgow DJ Jackmaster was given a taste of home at an Amsterdam hotel - when staff presented him with a bottle of Buckfast and can of Irn-Bru.

The 31-year-old, who is currently playing in cities across the world, stopped off in the Netherlands capital this weekend.

He took to his Twitter page to share a note left by staff and the contents of the fridge in his room.

The note said: “Hey Jack,

“Welcome to The Hox!

“So happy to have you here for ADE.

“Hope you have an amazing stay, enjoy Thuishaven tomorrow - we’ll all see you there!

“Shout if you need anything at all.”

Thanks to a Glaswegian member of staff, the team knew exactly what to supply.

The note was signed off: “P.S. Our fellow Glaswegian colleague gave us a tip off - some Bucky to start off and some Bru for the morning after.

“Check the fridge and ENJOY!”

Jackmaster said: “Opened my minibar and it appears an angel had come in and snuck a bottle of tonic and a can of irn bru inside.”

Over the last six years, Jackmaster - real name Jack Revill - has established himself as one of the most in demand DJs in the world, something which resulted in him being voted number two in the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ Poll last year.

He’s currently gearing up to appear in cities across the US next month.
