FLAT owners who rent properties in Glasgow are being urged to attend an event explaining new regulations targeting rogue landlords.
The changes to private sector tenancy will apply to all new tenancies beginning on or after December 1 2017.
Owner will no longer be permitted to serve notice on a tenant without a specific cause with rent increases only permitted once a year.

There will also be a ban on setting a duration for the lease or an end date.
John Blackwood, Chief Executive of Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL): “I hope as many landlords as possible will come along to learn more and ask questions as well as find out more about how SAL can help them overcome any issues they might face in the future.”
“The new agreement will only be effective if it is clearly understood and effectively enforced.”
The event is taking place at Hampden Park from 6pm to 8.30pm on Monday, October 30.

Attendees must register in advance by calling SAL on 0131 564 0100 or emailing info@scottishlandlords.com The event is free and open to anyone who lets out property.
