COPS are hunting for a thug who attacked a man within a flat in Drumchapel.

The 23-year-old victim was rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following the brutal assault on Wednesday at around 12.30am.

The victim was seriously assaulted within a flat in Essenside Avenue and his condition is now stable in hospital.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: ""Police enquiries are continuing after a 23 year-old man was seriously assaulted within a flat in Essenside Avenue, Glasgow around 12.30am on Wednesday, October 25.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

"If anyone has information that can assist the ongoing investigation, please contact detectives at Drumchapel Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 0071 of 25th October.
