UPDATE: Pensioner, 80, dies after being hit by vehicle in Paisley
A person has been knocked down by a vehicle in Paisley.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Hawkhead Road after 7am today.
They received a report that a person had been struck by a vehicle.
Their condition is unknown.
Emergency services are at the scene and the road will remain closed between Barrhead Road and Seedhill Road.
A police spokeswoman said: "At around 7.15am on Tuesday, October 31, police received report that a person had been struck by a vehicle on Hawkhead Road.
"The road will remain closed between Seedhill Road and Barrhead Road to allow emergency services to attend."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 7.10am today to attend an incident on Hawkhead Road in Paisley.
"We dispatched one ambulance, a paramedic response unit and a manager.
"The first unit arrived on scene within five minutes."
