A MAN has been struck by a vehicle on a major road in Glasgow's South Side.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Cathcart Road at around 10am.
The man, who is his 60s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his condition is unknown.
Emergency services remain at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 10am on Thursday, November 2, police received a report of a man being struck by a vehicle on Cathcart Road, Glasgow.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: “We received a call at 9.57 on Thursday to attend a road traffic collision on Cathcart Road, Glasgow.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene.
“One male patient in his sixties was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
"The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Road closures are in place and emergency services remain on the scene."
Cathcart Road is closed at Bolton Drive and police diversions are in place.
Associated road closures include Somerville Drive and Stanmore Road.
The road is one of busiest in the Govanhill and Mount Florida areas of the city.
