BONFIRE night went off with a bang.
Glasgow Green's illuminations attracted thousands of revellers to the annual free event's biggest display yet – which featured a whopping six tonnes of fireworks that lit up the sky.
As well as the sky-shattering explosive finale, there was also a funfair and plenty of food and drink on offer.
The extravaganza – which showcased thousands of effects in different colours, some of which were specially imported for the display – was time-code synchronised to burst in time with the music.
Afterwards, the impressed revellers took to social media to post their delight.
On Twitter, Jackie Hamilton posted: "Fantastic fireworks tonight at Glasgow Green."
While on Facebook, Yvonne Mitchell posted: "Great wee night at Glasgow Green fireworks."
Some residents were lucky enough to see the display from the comfort of their own home.
Andrew Cunningham posted on Facebook from Springburn: "Love that we can see the Glasgow Green fireworks display from our living room."
Monica McGurk tweeted: "Best thing about staying across from Glasgow Green...still cosy in the house watching the fireworks."
Those that missed out also voiced their sadness.
Joanne29x tweeted: "So gutted we didn’t go to Glasgow Green."
There's always next year...
