A MAN was attacked after a concert ended in Glasgow on Sunday night.

Cops rushed to the scene at the O2 Academy in the Gorbals area of the city at around 11.10pm after they received a report of an assault.

The victim, 23, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his injuries are unknown. 

Medical staff, however, say he is in a stable condition.

The attack happened after a gig by Grime artist Bugzy Malone. The Manchester born rapper was playing the venue in support of his latest release King of the North. 

Police Scotland confirmed today they are investigating the assault and their enquires are ongoing. The force is expected to review CCTV images. 

A spokeswoman said: "We received reports of an assault in the O2 Academy on Eglinton Street, Glasgow around 11.10pm.

"One 23-year-old male victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Medical staff describe his condition as stable.

“Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
