A man who went missing from his home in Clydebank could be in Falkirk or Grangemouth.

Melville Cowan left his home in Overtoun Court around 8.35am on Wednesday November 1.

The last confirmed sighting of the 55-year-old was at 7.08am on Friday November 3, when he was seen on CCTV at Parkfoot Road, Kilsyth when he boarded a number 4B First Bus.

The bus route would have taken him to Falkirk and then Grangemouth.

Melville is described as 5ft8 in height, of stocky build, with short grey hair and stubble.

He was wearing a khaki green jacket, a cream woollen jumper, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers.

He has not made contact with his family or friends since he was reported as a missing person

Inspector David Quinn from Clydebank Police Station said: "Extensive enquiries continue to trace Melville and as time goes on his family are becoming increasingly concerned regarding his safety. I would ask anyone who was on the 4B bus from Kilsyth to Grangemouth and who remembers seeing Melville to get in touch with us at Clydebank Police Station on 101 quoting incident number 1067 of Thursday 2nd November 2017."
