HERO firefighters rescued three people who were trapped inside a car following a crash in Glasgow's West End.

The car crashed after 3pm on Thursday at Lothian Gardens close to Wilton Street in North Kelvinside.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and firefighters removed three people who were inside the car.

A fourth person had removed themselves prior to the firefighters arriving.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 3.13pm on Thursday, November 9 to reports of a road traffic collision involving one car at Lothian Gardens, Glasgow.

“Firefighters removed three people who were trapped inside the car. A fourth casualty was removed prior to fire service arrival.

“All casualties were then transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. Firefighters ensured the area was made safe before leaving the scene."

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that no one required hospital treatment.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 3.17pm on Thursday, November 9 to attend an incident on Wilton Street, Glasgow.

“We dispatched one ambulance, one paramedic response unit, one special operations team and one manager to the scene.

“No patients required transport to hospital.”
