A POPULAR sandwich shop destroyed in a fire sparked by a faulty fridge has reopened in Finnieston.
Piece, which is part of a chain of sandwich shops across the city, was forced to close for almost two months after the blaze on September 15.
The shop in Finnieston, Glasgow, confirmed on their official website that they reopened on Thursday afternoon.
Piece blamed a faulty fridge that "wanted to be an oven" for the fire.
It left the popular Argyle Street shop badly damaged but nobody was injured.
Piece opened its first store in Argyle Street in 2008 and has quickly thrived as a chain with outlets in streets Miller, West Regent, and Albion as well as in The Whisky Bond in Dawson Road.
