A bereaved mum was left stunned when the 'ghost' of her baby boy who died aged 10 weeks appeared dressed as Fireman Sam - in a FIREWORK.

Nicole Pike, 28, lost tragic Ralphie Plant to a virus on January 16 last year, and hosted a fireworks gathering with family on Tuesday to commemorate his second birthday.

However, the mum-of-two, was left stunned when she posted pictures of the event on Facebook and saw what she believed to be a silhouette of the tot dressed up as the cartoon star.

Glasgow Times:

She believes that he dressed up as Fireman Sam specially, because it's his three-year-old brother Riley-Lee's favourite TV character.

The full-time mum has also felt the tragic tot's presence in a number of other ways - including through her microwave.

Nicole, of Loughborough, said: "It was the first picture I saw on Facebook and I looked at it and thought 'wow, no way'.

"Ralphie's older brother Riley-Lee saw the picture and said: 'Aw look, Ralphie came to the party dressed as Fireman Sam'.

Glasgow Times:

"He came to the party dressed as Fireman Sam because he loves his big brother and Fireman Sam is Riley-Lee's favourite.

"I truly believe that it is Ralphie in the picture. Riley-Lee spotted Ralphie's hat and I can see a halo and wings in the image.

"I'll eat my hat before admitting it's just a coincidence.

"People thought I was crazy, but I don't think they can say that after seeing this picture."

"I've never seen anything like it."

The youngster passed away eight days after being discharged from Nottingham Children's Hospital at the Queen's Medical Centre.

An inquest later concluded he was suffering from breathing problems caused by a virus.

The bizarre firework isn't the first time that Nicole believes she has seen or felt the presence of Ralphie.

Nicole, who has since had another baby named Radley in November last year, said: "I always get signs from him.

"I just think: 'Yep, that's Ralphie'.

"The night before his birthday my mum was round and I heard the keys jangle in the lock and then a balloon moved as if hit by a gust of wind.

"We both knew that it was a sign that he was with us."

The grieving mum also believes that the tragic tot has been attempting to communicate with her through her microwave.

She claims that every time it counts down, it stops at the number seven - and Ralphie was born on November 7.

Nicole said: "I thought it was weird because Ralphie was born on November 7.

"Now I've moved house and bought a new microwave and it still does the same thing.

"It's a sign from Ralphie that he's always with us."

The youngster's presence has also been seen in previous pictures that the full-time mum has taken, including in a Travelodge hotel room where a silhouette can be see of a baby and a man.

Nicole believes that the mystical man is Ralphie's godfather, Lee Morgan, who passed away aged 28 from a blood clot in June last year.

She also believes that the pair appeared as small stars above the head of Riley as he played on a tractor at a local farm last month.

Since the tragic death, Nicole has given birth to "rainbow baby" Radley, one, who she believes is a gift from Ralphie.

She said: "The pregnancy with Radley was definitely more stressful after the loss of Ralphie.

"But I believe Ralphie sent him to us, they were both born in November, six weeks early and both weighed four pounds and four ounces - it's more than a coincidence."
