TWO Polish men were racially abused by a thug as they left a train in Uddingston.

Transport cops are now hunting the man responsible following the incident which happened on November 4 on board the 4.50pm service from Glasgow Central to Lanark between Uddingston and Wishaw.

The force says that between 5pm to 5.25pm a man began to loudly make racial comments about two Polish men who had just left the service at Uddingston station.

After this the man continued to make racial comments on the service before leaving the train at Wishaw.

The train was busy at the time with adults and children, some of who moved or alighted early from the service due to the man’s behaviour and comments.

Officers would be looking to speak with anyone who was on board this train and saw what happened.

In particular, officers would like to speak to a man who is described as a white, wearing an orange hoodie and in the company of two other men. They were seated in the front of the three car set by the toilets.
