A DRUNK who sexually assaulted a woman along a bike path has been placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for two years.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Colin Donnelly pleaded guilty to touching his victim's genitals on the cycle track between Earl Street and Burnham Road at some point between September 1 and December 31, 2015.
In defence it was claimed that the accused was extremely intoxicated but was now taking steps to tackle his alcohol problem.
The 43-year-old, of Earl Street, was sentenced to a Community Payback Order with supervision for two years and 200 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months.
As well as adhering to the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders' Register for two years, Donnelly must also attend the Moving Forward Making Changes programme – an intervention aimed at adult sex offenders across the prison service and the community.
