A MAN found with a supply of different drugs has been left lighter in the pocket for his illegal stash.

At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Gary Scougall pleaded guilty to having diazepam, cannabis and nitrazepam in his possession at his home address on September 11, 2015.

Nitrazepam, a hypnotic drug used for short-term relief from severe anxiety and insomnia, is also sometimes used to treat epilepsy.

Sentence had previously been deferred so as the accused could be of good behaviour, however the court heard that the 38-year-old had accumulated a couple of other charges.

The sheriff fined Scougall, of Glenavon Road, £150.
