TWELVE Rainbow Room International salons teamed up to raise £3500 for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Each salon got involved in a week of fundraising, selling wristbands and pin badges at the reception desks and as well as this, many held their own fundraising activities.

The Rainbow Room International Academy had all their young apprentices dress down for a day whereas the Bearsden salon had all their stylists dress as apprentices.

The East Kilbride salon donated £1 from each of their clients’ bills, while the Crow Road salon held a ‘big hair day’ where stylists had to come into the salon with big bold hairstyles.

The Rainbow Room International Ayr salon put up posters and had hair products on sale, giving clients the chance to buy their favourite items at a discounted price whilst raising money for the charity.

Great Western Road had an array of activities, having their own ‘Bake Off’ where stylists brought in cakes and cookies that clients could take in return for a donation to the charity. Sienna, the salon’s level-two assistant, won the comp with her Victoria sponge.

The Great Western Road salon also took part in a casual day and a pyjama day. The salon also had a raffle that ran throughout the week too, giving clients the opportunity to win vouchers, haircuts and products.

As well as selling pin badges and wristbands, the Royal Exchange Square salon team recorded a Christmas single.

John Paul Parker, salon director and owner of Rainbow Room International’s Great Western Road salon, said: “It’s been a great, fun week of fundraising for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a fantastic charity that we were delighted to spread awareness of and help raise funds for.

“At Rainbow Room International we are always happy to fundraise and support in any way we can to benefit good causes and we hope our week of fundraising has raised lots of money for Teenage Cancer Trust and made them proud.”
