Outlander star Sam Heughan has donated a designer tie worn at the Baftas to charity to raise awareness of male cancer. 

The 36-year-old, who plays heart-throb Jamie Fraser in the successful series, donated the Armani tie to Cahonas Scotland who are auctioning the piece on Ebay to raise money.

The Scots hunk, who is ambassador for the charity, has also written some health advice across the tie reminding men it is important to 'check yer baws'.

Cahonas Scotland shared an image of the tie on twitter, alongside the caption: "Huge thanks to our ballsy ambassador @SamHeughan who also donated his Scottish Baftas worn Emporio Armani tie that he signed “Check yer baws, Best Wishes, Sam Heughan.”

The 'celebrity owned' item has already received 35 bids with the highest sitting at an impressive £550.

The auction will end on 26 November at 8.44 pm.

Several other famous faces have also donated signed items to be auctioned by the charity including, Burniston actor Richard Rankin, Outlander star Catriona Balfe and Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.

Football fans can also bid on a signed strip donated by Scotland player Ikechi Anya.
