A man who has gone missing from his home in Warrington may have travelled to Glasgow.

Police officers from Cheshire are appealing to the public to help trace Mark Smith who was reported missing on Sunday November 19.

The last confirmed sighting of the 52-year-old was at 10.27am on Monday when he was seen boarding a train at Warrington Bank Quay Station.

It is believed he may be have travelled to the Glasgow area.

Mark is described as white, 5ft 11 inches tall and of stocky build, balding with short sides and a goatee beard.

He was last seen wearing a beige coloured jacket, a grey jumper, black jeans, black boots and a black baseball cap; he was also carrying a black rucksack.

Inspector Hannan, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “We are extremely concerned for Marks’s welfare and I would urge anyone who has seen or spoken to him since he disappeared to contact police on 101.

“I would appeal directly to Mark and ask him to get in touch to let us, and your family, know you are safe.”

Anyone with any information in relation to whereabouts of Mark is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 539 of 19 November 2017.
