Police are searching for a Good Samaritan who stepped in to help the victim of an assault.
Officers want to trace a man who witnessed the attack on a train between Glasgow Central and Gourock Stations.
A fight broke out sometime between 11.50pm and 12.05am on Tuesday November 14.
To prevent the assault from escalating, the man intervened and placed himself in danger.
Two men have been identified in relation to this incident and officers now want to trace the man good samaritan.
