Police officers in Scotland can now claim free flu jabs as part of a scheme to promote wellbeing in the force.

Deputy Chief Constable Iain Livingstone said officers and other staff are being offered vouchers they can use to pay for the vaccinations.

They can now get their jab for free at a number of high street pharmacies around the country.

DCC Iain Livingstone said: "Police Scotland has introduced a programme for staff and officers to be offered a flu vaccine as part of the service's Your Wellbeing Matters initiative.

"The wellbeing of our officers and staff means a great deal to me personally and this programme demonstrates the organisation's ongoing commitment to investing in employee wellbeing."
