WELL it’s been more than 13 years since I’ve said this but I’ve got a single out today!

The last time I released a single was back in February 2004 and it was the second release from my Pop Idol album and what’s more it was a solo project, so I was all on my lonesome.

Since then I’ve always continued to sing but I’ve never dabbled in the UK music charts again, until now.

This time around however, I am one of more than 1400 voices on a charity single with the amazing Choirs With Purpose.

It’s a cover of the Sir Paul McCartney classic We All Stand Together minus the lovely frog chorus, which as a child was my favourite bit, well that and the video with Rupert The Bear, but what’s really amazing is that Sir Paul has so generously agreed to waive all royalties for the song, meaning that every single penny raised from the single sales will go directly to the 12 charities involved.

There is also an album to accompany the single out on December 15 called Stand Together and it features guests vocals from singers Carol Decker and Alexander O’Neal and actress Hayley Tamaddon to name but a few.

I’m so honoured to guest vocal on the MND Scotland track called Clouds, chosen by the inspirational Lucy Lintott.

Lucy is the youngest person living with motor neurone disease in Scotland and she chose this particular song for the MND Scotland Choir to sing because it was written by Zach Sobiech, an American singer-song writer who passed away in 2013 after very sadly losing his battle with bone cancer.

He was only 18 years old when he died and his song, Clouds, gained extensive media attention and even charted on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as hitting the number spot in both France and Canada.

Lucy chose this song for its uplifting message and it was a great honour for me to be asked to accompany the MND Scotland Choir on this track.

It’s been the most incredibly positive project to be involved with alongside The Missing People Choir, The Parrs Wood High School Choir, The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, UK Hospices Choir, The Games Maker Choir, The MND Scotland Choir, Anstee Bridge Choir, Homelink Carers Choir, Maggie’s Cancer Centre (West London) Choir, Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Choir, Cystic Fibrosis Virtual Choir and The Pop Up Purpose Choir.

I really hope both the single and the album do really well and that we raise lots and lots of money for these incredible charities.

The festive season is well and truly upon us, so please help support these wonderful causes by purchasing this beautiful Single and Album. We All Stand Together is out today and you can pre order the album, Stand Together, now online before its release on December 15. Thank you xx

FOUR weeks today Michelle McManus’ Winter Wonderland featuring Soundsational Choir show will be up and running and spreading lots of Christmas cheer for all to hear at The Mitchell Theatre in Glasgow.

Last year was our very first Christmas show and it was a rip roaring success, so we’re back again with four shows kicking off on December 21 right through until December 21 with two shows that day, including a Saturday matinee performance.

The show will be a Christmas cracker of comedy and festive sing alongs of your favourite Christmas classics.

Sometimes it can be hard to get into the Christmas spirit but I promise you this show will leave you all feeling so warm, fuzzy and festive inside, you’ll practically smell of mince pies and mulled wine when you leave.

There are still some tickets left, so make sure you get them quick before it’s too late. You can call the box office on 0141 287 2999 or log onto www.tickets.glasgowconcert
