Glasgow Airport car parking fees have always been a talking point for many in and and around the city.

It all came to a head in May when the Evening Times reported how drivers dropping passengers off had to start paying £2 for a stay of up to 10 minutes.

Today, however, as shoppers go crazy for Black Friday deals, the airport has launched a 20 per cent off offer on long-stay parking - but it’s only available until midnight.

Using the code BLACK20, though, the deal is valid on parking entry from November 25 until April 30, 2018.

Drivers reacted with fury this spring when the £2 drop-off fee first came into action.

The change was said to be the final step in a wider scheme of works to reduce congestion and improve the flow of traffic on the airport’s road network.

It was quickly branded as “an accident waiting to happen” by motorists who had to queue on the M8 to get into it.
