Scottish actor Joe McFadden has become the latest celeb to brag about having a taste of the famous Murray shortbread after being given some by Judy Murray on a Glasgow flight.
The Holby City actor and Strictly Come Dancing contestant couldn’t believe his luck when he bumped into the tennis coach, mother of world champ Andy, and ex-Strictly contestant.
Sharing a selfie on his Twitter, Joe wrote: “Look who was on our #glasgow flight-The gorgeous @JudyMurray! Thanks for the sensational shortbread!”

Just three weeks ago, tennis legend Roger Federer flew into Glasgow for a charity match against Andy at the SSE Hydro and got a sweet Scottish welcome with the help of Andy’s grandmother.
The Scots tennis star provided the Swiss superstar with shortbread and Irn-Bru as he arrived in the country for a charity match at the SSE Hydro.

Attached to the Scottish produce was a handwritten note reading: “Andy’s granny’s homemade shortbread.”
On Sunday, Joe announced he is leaving Holby City after four years to focus on a stage career.
The actor has portrayed surgeon Raffaello “Raf” di Lucca in the BBC One medical drama series since January 2014.

The 42-year-old told the Daily Star Sunday: “Holby has been brilliant. They gave me the time off to do Strictly but sadly everything comes to an end.
“I’ve not got a solid leaving date, I just think that having done this show, there’s other stuff out there and doing live entertainment, it’s where my heart is.
“I love doing theatre, I love musicals, and the longer you leave it the harder it gets.”
He is now one of the favourites to win Strictly this year following his most recent performance.
