TOMMY Sheridan launched into an expletive after discovering the St Andrew's Day edition of BBC's Question Time included UKIP leader Henry Bolton - but nobody from the SNP.

The Solidarity founder tweeted that it was "a f*****g disgrace" after reading details of the line up for the topical debate show from Scarborough. He signed off with the hashtag #BritishBiasedCorporation.

The panel also included Conservative MP Sam Gyimah, former Labour leadership contender Chuka Umunna, journalist Sarah Baxter and former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis.

Mr Sheridan was responding to a tweet that announced UKIP would appear on the St Andrew's Day edition of Question Time but "the SNP won't (again)."

The tweet from pro-independence blogger James Kelly said: "Just a reminder that the SNP have 35 seats, UKIP have zero and UKIP received fewer votes across the whole UK than the SNP did."

Mr Sheridan's response was not the only critical one.

Glasgow Times:

Jimbo responded: "I think it's disgraceful that the third largest political party in the UK, which also has the most MSPs and councillors in Scotland can be so frequently ignored by the BBC in favour of a party with no elected politician in Westminster or Holyrood."

Scottish independence supporter Grant S. added: "Disgusting. How can the BBC not see how offensive this is to Scots?"

But others were less enamoured by the argument.

Conservative Josh Smith said: "UKIP haven't been on in months. We have to suffer the SNP when it's even in England."
