A MAN who kicked off in the car park of a supermarket has been told by a court to do unpaid work in the community.

Paul Davidson Rankin, 29, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court this week for sentencing after the outburst.

He plead guilty at the trial diet on November 6 to shouting and swearing at Tesco in Maryhill on June 7, this year.

The Procurator Fiscal depute told the court that security officers working the supermarket became aware of Rankin’s behaviour. They saw him approaching members of the public, and acting in an aggressive manner. They called the police.

Rankin, of Glenfinnan Drive, will complete 80 hours of unpaid work in the community in six months.
