TRANSPORT cops have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to after a football fan was assaulted on the subway.

The attack took place on board a subway train at Kinning Park subway station on November 4 at around 8pm.

A 53-year old man boarded a subway train at Ibrox station with friends, having attended the Rangers FC vs Partick Thistle FC game at Ibrox stadium earlier in the day.

During the journey two other passengers assaulted this man.

One of them spat in his face, before they both punched him multiple times in the head, face and body.

Train staff and members of the public intervened, and police were called.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Officers would like to speak to the people shown in the CCTV images as they may have information which can help the investigation.
