WE all know Father Christmas likes something to eat and drink when he's dropping off presents.

But it seems he must be starting earlier than ever this year if this carton of Asda 'Milk for Santa' is anything to go by.

For rather than having a use by date of Christmas Eve or even Christmas Day, it instead was stamped 'December 15'.

Bought in Darlington, its purchaser said: "I know it feels like Christmas is coming earlier every year, but I didn't realise it was for Santa too."

A spokesman for Asda told The Northern Echo: "With all those presents to wrap and elves to manage - Santa needs a few more brews than usual during December, which is why we make sure we've got plenty of milk available for him throughout the month.”

Have you spotted this yet in your local Asda?
