A BRIDGETON man will do unpaid work in the community after shouting sectarian abuse at cops.
James Cunningham, 33, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted that he acted aggressively by shouting and swearing on Aitkenhead Road on July 15, this year.
He also shouted sectarian and homophobic abuse and uttered threats.
He came to the attention of the officers after they spotted him gesticulating towards another man.
The court heard that he said to officers, “f****** dirty rats. F****** prody.”
In a separate charge, he accepted that he struggled with two police officers and attempted to bite one of the cops.
Cunningham, of Madras Place, will complete 150 hours of unpaid work in the community.
