COPS discovered a used needle on a shoplifter.
Mehran Goojani Tashari, of Linkwood Crescent, Drumchapel, appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to two offences.
He admitted that he stole £19.98 worth of coffee and cleaning products from B&M Store in Drumchapel on August 14, this year.
He also plead guilty to failing to let police officers who were searching him know that he had a used needle.
Tashari’s defence agent told the court that his client’s benefits had been suspended. The 49-year-old’s depression had also hit rock bottom and he used the needle to inject cocaine.
The Iranian, who has lived in the UK since 2002, had is sentenced deferred for six months. He return to court in June.
