TRAIN passengers are experiencing disruption today due to overhead wires being damaged.

A number of services going through Dumbraton Central are cancelled until further notice.

Routes between Dalmuir, Helensburgh, Balloch, and the Edinburgh, Larkhall and Motherwell services have all been affected.

Passengers have been advised that they can use a ScotRail ticket or Smartcard on First Bus services between Dalmuir and Dumbarton/Balloch and Helensburgh just now.

ScotRail say workers are aiming to restore normal service by this evening.
