A ROAD has closed in Glasgow city centre after a burst water main.
A section of North Hanover Street, from its junction with George Square to its junction with Cathedral Street, has been closed to traffic to enable Scottish Water to investigate and work on repairing the burst. Scottish Water has liaised with Glasgow City Council’s roads department when planning the road traffic management. The affected section of road will be re-opened as soon as the work is completed.
The burst water main has not affected normal water supplies to properties in the area.
Pedestrian access to this section of North Hanover Street will not be affected.
A spokesman for Scottish Water said: “Scottish Water apologises to road users for any inconvenience and thanks them in advance for their patience and co-operation.”
