REPAIR work on an unsafe bridge in Pollokshields will close several roads in the area for six months.
Springkell Avenue Railway Bridge was closed to all vehicles in August due to concerns for public safety.
The bridge, located between Terregles Avenue and Fotheringay Road, was found to be unstable by Network Rail following an inspection.
Repair work is set to begin on the bridge from January 3, 2018 and will last until June 10.
During that time, Springkell Avenue, between the junction with Terregles Avenue to the junction with Fotheringay Road; Terregles Avenue, between the junction with Springkell Avenue and the entrance to Maxwell Park Railway Station and Fotheringay Road from the junction with Springkell Avenue to 30m east of Springkell Avenue, will be closed.
