FORMER soldier Billy Irving and his fiancee have revealed they will have the “wedding of the year” after he was released from an Indian prison.

Mr Irving, who has spent the last four years in a “hell-hole” prison, and partner Yvonne MacHugh have said they will tie the knot next year.

And Ms MacHugh, 29, says it will be bigger and better than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s special day.

Ms MacHugh, from Neilston, Renfrewshire, posted a picture on social media of the pair’s first date night, after her fiance arrived home last week.

Mr Irving, 37, has also been reunited with two-year-old son William after missing his birth while in prison on trumped-up weapons charges.

Posting a picture of her boys back together, Ms MacHugh said: “This photo would never have been possible without the help and support from each and every one of you. I couldn’t be happier. We are a family at last ... forget Harry and Meghan. We will have the wedding of the year.”

Mr Irving was one of six Britons jailed on weapons charges while working as security guards on ships combating piracy in the Indian Ocean in 2013.
