POLICE have released CCTV images after two city pubs were broken into.

Detectives at Greater Glasgow Division are releasing images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The force has also released two images of a van they wish to trace.

The first incident occurred on Monday, July 31 at Yes Bar in Drury Street, when forced entry to the premises occurred but no items were stolen.

The second incident took place on Sunday, October 15 at Rioja, Argyle Street, Finnieston when forced entry to the premises occurred and a significant sum of cash was stolen.

The man police believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries is described as white, 5 ft 8 inches in height and of heavy build.

He was wearing a flat cap and green parka style jacket.

Police are also looking to trace a distinctively marked silver Renault Master van seen in the area at the time of the second incident.

Police Constable Stephen Findlay, of Greater Glasgow Division’s Community Investigation Unit, said: "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed either of these incidents, or who has information that may assist the continuing police investigation. I would also urge anyone who recognises the man or the van in the CCTV images to contact the Community Investigation Unit at Helen Street Police Office through 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
