Popular dance club, Sub Club has won the Best of British Award for Best Small Club.

DJ Mag's Best of British Awards took place on Thursday, December 14 and saw clubs and DJ's receiving awards at the annual celebration of the UK underground scene. 

The awards, hosted by DJ Mag, included awards for Best DJ, Best Dance Festival and Best Club night.

Birmingham selector Hannah Wants took home the coveted Best DJ award, with fast-rising Derry-born newcomer Or:la taking Best Breakthrough DJ.

Elsewhere, Maya Jane Coles won Best Producer off the back of her album, ‘Take Flight’, the inimitable DJ Harvey won Best Resident DJ and tech-house enigma Mr. G took Best Live Act.

Glasgow gem, Sub Club took home the Best Small Club award, beating four other nominees from across the country.

The Jamaica Street club often hosts well known DJ's from around the world and also boasts an impressive list of resident DJ's.

The flagship Saturday night Subculture, is now the longest running weekly house and techno club night on the planet.
