MEMBERS of the public are being quizzed by police a week after a man disappeared from his home in Clydebank.
Forty-two-year-old Scott McSporran was last seen by his brother in Ardoch Crescent in Dumbarton at 8pm last Friday.
Tonight, officers are holding a stop and speak facility in the Brucehill area to try and jog people's memories and see if anyone can remember seeing him.
Scott is described as white, 5ft 8 inches in height and of slim build with short black hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a grey padded jacket, black North Face jumper, blue jeans and orange and blue Nike trainers.
Inspector Roddy MacNeil of Dumbarton Police Office said: “Scott has been missing for a week now, and it is completely out of character for him to go missing and not to keep in contact with his family. They are extremely concerned and upset by his disappearance.
“Searches are continuing throughout the Clydebank and Dumbarton areas for Scott with local officers being assisted by specialist search advisors, the police helicopter and the dog unit.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen Scott, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact Dumbarton Police Office through 101 quoting incident number 2268 of 31 December 2017. I would also appeal directly to Scott to contact police to let us know that he is safe and well.”
